Steps
Select one of the medical care institutions which are registered on the KENPOS website and are indicated as offering “brain examination only.” Make an appointment yourself and then apply on KENPOS to receive an examination.

Precaution
Examinations that were not reserved on KENPOS are not eligible for subsidies.
However, please see below if your area of residence is not included in the list of medical care institutions for health examination.
If your area of residence is not included in the list of medical care institutions for health examination
If there is not a medical care institution for health examination in your area of residence, you can file a claim for a subsidy of up to 20,000 yen after you have received a brain examination at any medical care institution and paid the full amount out of pocket.
For the settlement method, go to “Health examination and health care” at the top of the KENPOS website home page, then “Apply for health examination,” “Notification screen,” and “Health examination at a non-partner medical care institution (family doctor) (Application form for brain examination).”
