My spouse left their company at the end of the month, so I am considering applying to add them as a dependent. Apparently, I cannot add them as a dependent while they are receiving unemployment benefits, but what happens in the event of illness?

While someone receives unemployment benefits, they will be enrolled in National Health Insurance.
In terms of unemployment benefits, also note that—if a person's basic allowance is a daily amount of less than 3,612 yen—they can be added as a dependent.

Adding or removing a familymember

	I am a Pfizer employee, and—to add a family member as a dependent—I used Workday to register the family member information and also applied electronically (Navit). Please tell me about the post-application flow as well as how long it will take for the insurance card to arrive.
