What kind of document is the "Tax Exemption Certificate," which must be attached when applying to add a family member as a dependent?

This document is issued by the municipality in which you are registered as a resident. The section in charge goes by names that include the "Certificate Issuance Subsection of the Residents Support Section," "Residents Tax Subsection of the Tax Assessment Section," and "Tax Administration Subsection of the Taxation Section," but please check your municipality's website for details. If someone is applying for a "Tax Exemption Certificate" on your behalf, the person with your power of attorney/representative must have a document that makes it possible to confirm their identity (a driver's license, ward resident certificate, etc.).
