Can I add a family member who plans to receive unemployment benefits from employment insurance to my dependents?

You can if the family member has a basic daily amount of less than 3,612 yen or the person is at least 60 years old or disabled and has a basic daily amount of less than 5,000 yen. If these criteria are exceeded, certification is not possible during the receipt of payments, waiting period, or benefit limitation period. If extending the receipt of payments, you can attach the "Notice of Extension of Employment Insurance Benefit Period" to obtain certification.
In addition, the dependency removal procedure must be performed upon the start of receiving extended unemployment benefits.

	I am a Pfizer employee, and—to add a family member as a dependent—I used Workday to register the family member information and also applied electronically (Navit). Please tell me about the post-application flow as well as how long it will take for the insurance card to arrive.
